Group Tours

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum Campus is highly popular with motorcoach operators, school groups, church groups, and educators. Special rates apply to groups of 20 or more. Reservations for group visits should be made well in advance to ensure proper assistance by museum staff. Pre-arranged lunches are also available.
The Shipwreck Video Theater shows a 20-minute video which takes visitors to the depths of Lake Superior to discover the wrecksite of the Edmund Fitzgerald. To help with your scheduling, or if you wish more time exploring the site, we can provide the video to be viewed on the coach. Many operators request the video in advance of their visit to show while enroute to Whitefish Point. The escort may also take a copy with them to show after visiting.
The road to Whitefish Point is modern two-lane paved blacktop. Buses drop passengers in the main parking lot at the museum, and then proceed 1/8 mile down the road for designated bus parking.
Visitors gain access to Lake Superior's shore via a barrier-free access boardwalk. The beautiful rocky beach is great for agate hunting or a peaceful stroll. End your visit by stopping in the best museum store in the Midwest featuring maritime art, limited edition prints, fine apparel, unique nauticals and hundreds of items for the entire family.
We offer itinerary planning assistance and complementary enrichment presentations for each visiting group when requested.
