EDMUND FITZGERALD Memorial Ceremony – Sunday, November 10, 2019

Posted on October 24th, 2019

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society will hold its annual Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial Ceremony on Sunday, November 10, at 7:00 pm in the Shipwreck Museum building at Whitefish Point. Doors will open to the public at 6:15 pm and admission is free.

The Fitzgerald went down in a terrible storm on Lake Superior 44 years ago – and this incident of American Maritime History continues to have a profound effect on a great number of people over time.

Music is provided by Mike Fornes and the popular Gordon Lightfoot Tribute, Whispers of the North. Refreshments will be offered in the main gallery after the event.

The Main Museum Gallery and the Navy Radio Building (Theatre) will be open on November 10 from noon to 4 pm, admission by donation.
