What do you think about getting on a paddle board and paddling across Lake Superior? Well, check this out!

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society is very proud to announce that the group, Stand Up For Great Lakes, has selected us to be their beneficiaries in 2018! The guys in Stand Up For Great Lakes put their bodies on the line and act…they don’t talk, they do. They will paddle board more than 60 miles across Lake Superior, sometime this July, 2018, all to raise money for the on-going research the Shipwreck Society is doing under the waters of Lake Superior. They’ve already paddled across Lake Michigan and Lake Huron and Superior is next on their list! Part of the Shipwreck Societies mission is to keep the memories and stories of all the lost sailors alive. At the same time we will also help bring the issues surrounding Lake Superior’s waters to the forefront. Stand Up For Great Lakes will help us fund our mission.

We want you all on this journey! As the months go by we will keep you all up to date, step by step, as the guys train and prepare for what could be their biggest feat, crossing Superior…this is going to be a very fun, invigorating and eye opening adventure for all of us!
